The Learning Lab was created to explore how to use the interplay between humans, rooms and technology to promote learning, creativity and health. In the Learning Lab we accelerate the development of learning environments for the future.
The Learning Lab concept is aimed at researchers, building designers, organisations and commercial actors who in various ways want to explore the importance of the room for learning and creativity, find new solutions, or test methodology. It has been developed in close collaboration with educators and researchers in the field of learning to provide conditions for innovation for the learning environments of the future.
Today, we know more than ever before about the connection between how we learn and the physical environment. We also have access to digital technology that can enhance experiences, help us to communicate and make information available in a way most of us could hardly have imagined. Nevertheless, education and learning environments look largely the same now as they did fifty or even a hundred years ago.
Our Learning Lab concept aims to develop new types of learning environments adapted to our time. Here users can create rooms with different personalities for different types of concentration and learning. Currently, there is a physical Learning Lab with three fantastic and flexible rooms offering different features at AWL Johanneberg Science Park in Gothenburg. Everyone who reserves any of the rooms receives support in the design of the room, technology and activity.
Our Learning Lab in Gothenburg is open to everyone. Reserve the Learning Lab!
The studio is a top modern space where we challenge ourselves to really use the entire space in workshops, meetings, exercises, presentations, exhibitions, etc.
In neutral mode, Flexroom is “empty”. There is no basic layout for the furniture; the room is furnished based entirely on the needs of each individual booking.
Makerspace is the meeting place for creativity. Makerspace brings together people with a common interest in creating using both traditional tools and modern digital technology.
