A Working Lab at Johanneberg Science Park on the Chalmers Johanneberg campus in Gothenburg offers a brand new approach for businesses, academia and the community to meet with respect to skills and professional roles. We offer different types of office space, common meeting rooms, innovative conference environments and services for companies that want to work in the middle of a collaborative arena for sustainability, urbanism and spatial planning. Here companies, businesses and people with a variety of backgrounds can rent space for the time they need and gain access to services and physical environments based on their specific needs. Conferences, meetings, trainings and workshops are held here. You will also become part of both a local and a national community, which enables you to work on any campus where A Working Lab can be found.
The building is a living environment for innovation where the latest findings in research and development are tested. The road forward to a completed building has also involved an innovation process. Sixteen innovation projects powered the work with a clear focus on climate and sustainability during the construction process and the building meets the requirements for the Gold rating of the Miljöbyggnad environmental certification system.
A Working Lab is also home to the Learning Lab, three rooms with different personalities that offer infinite possibilities for testing how factors such as sound, light, furnishings and digital tools can impact learning, creativity and results. Mobile studio equipment for live broadcasting of virtual events can be rented in the environment.
