A Working Lab's environments for coworking, makerspaces, short contracts, and flexible meeting places have collectively surpassed 100 member companies.

Located on five campuses in Flemingsberg, Solna, KTH, Johanneberg, and Umeå, A Working Lab offers services and physical environments to startups and businesses seeking a flexible workplace close to academia. The first A Working Lab was launched in Gothenburg in the autumn of 2019, and soon after, the doors also opened at the Umeå and Solna campuses.

"There is room for more members. Moving forward, we hope to offer more opportunities for networking across campus boundaries through our national community. The list of all our members demonstrates the breadth and expertise of the companies with us, and the opportunities are vast. I also believe that physical meetings are important for people's creativity and innovation capabilities. With coworking, we create new possibilities for academia, industry, society, and individuals to meet, contributing to inspiring campus environments," says Åsa Johansson, concept manager at A Working Lab.

Each A Working Lab has a coworking space and a basic range of services. All A Working Labs have been developed in collaboration with local partners and customers and have different focuses depending on the context, partners, and the specific campus. This could be a particular area of research, geographic location, or the mix of activities housed on the campus.
